Angel's Egg is an anime film considered today a cult classic. I don't know if I should recommend it to you because it's strange, it has symbolism everywhere that no one understands, it has almost no dialogue, almost nothing happens... dunno... IT'S SO BORING YOU KNOW... But it has redeeming qualities that I love. Yoshitaka Amano, one of my favourite artists and influences, was in charge of the character design, the music is superb, the animation is amazing and overall the film is a masterpiece. You get to the end like wha? but you gotta love this little girl and her mysterious egg... She's so cute!

I remember when I first watched it, I had no idea what was happening, but then I watched it again, and grew to love it, despite it's weirdness and hard-to-interpret story ^^
