Description

The "Three Graces" or "Charites" ("Gratiae" in Latin) are three famous goddesses, daughters of Zeus and Eurynome, who represent beauty, charm, nature, creativity and fertility. They have been represented many times, by the best artists in each "main" art period, so you can actually see an evolution of art just looking at the different depictions of them (Rafael, Botticelli, Canova, Rubens, Picasso...). Personally, I love them all ;)

They are, from youngest to oldest, and from left to right:
Aglaea (Aglaya): she represents both beauty and intelligence and her name means "Splendor". Some versions of the myths say she married Hephaestus after he got a divorce from Aphrodite (that was about time) and they were happy together and had three daughters.
Euphrosyne (Eufrósine): she represents what her name means: "Joy". With her sisters, she use to be around Aphrodite, dancing, laughing and sending messages for her. I think it's just natural if she delivers mirth :aww:
Thalia (Talía): not to mistake her for the muse of comedy, this Thalia, "Blooming", represents fertility, festivities and abundance. For the Spartans, the third Charite was named Cleta.

Sorry if I didn't post the Olympic gods or the Muses first... There are many of them and I haven't finished the drawings yet!

I hope you like this :meow:
